The Supreme Bean exceeds the exacting standards set by “the cup test” because we take a culinary approach to coffee. A culinary perspective requires that we look past the bean grade and research the bean pedigree. We have come to believe that coffee beans are akin to wine grapes. Older rootstocks, though less disease resistant and less productive than newer hybrids, offer superior taste. The heirloom lines have deeper and more resonant versions of the flavor profile for which each region is known. Whenever possible, and where the flavor supports it, we source coffees from these heirloom varietal coffee beans. “Customer Service” is a cheap and easy phrase to toss around when talking about what makes one company different from another. The Supreme Bean’s commitment to service grew out of the crucible of television and movie production.
